Well, it'll always be there if you someday do have time! I appreciate your words! I am going to make a couple more small changes, but here is the penultimate iteration of the trailer!

I am so interested and I wanna watch, but I just don't have a schedule allowance. It's kind of annoying because it's my own dumb brain getting in my way. It looks great. So creative. This is what we need. Just people doing what people do.

I just completed the trailer. I didn't publicize this yet so I could still change things perhaps if you guys have thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZAi8BEcokA All that remains before release is getting the full HD export working! Edit: I am updating the trailer! Adding some more dialogue to make the story clearer. And maybe it can be made a little more cohesive. I also started the Full HD export. I am trying software export, but it's going to take a week! But a week might be doable nonetheless and I suppose it'll help render the color regrade better.

What is the last movie you watched and what did you think?
I watched 2 interesting films I'd love to diascuss.Coal Miners Daughter, a musical biopic about Loretta Lynn and her rise from a coal miners daughter to a country singer.and the other day I watched Jo... I really loved that concept in the explorers. They made that bubble with a piece of code??? So cool. I wanted to watch that movie a lot when I was a kid but never got to, can't remember why. I think maybe it wasn't on TV and we didn't manage to record it on tape, maybe the only way I saw it was by borrowing a friend's tape.

Coal Miners Daughter, a musical biopic about Loretta Lynn and her rise from a coal miners daughter to a country singer. and the other day I watched Joe Dante's "Explorers" a film notorious for having filming abruptly stopped. I liked both but am curious what others think!

Any Previewers?
It's fine, I just feel lost with my edits and feel this website could potentially build towards having a review section. Yes I just hope it continues to gain users. I am not good with marketing at all, it's my weakest area. I'm terrible at it. So I can only do my best to add features and then hope it will grow organically. We have the reviews system on fanedit pages, so it just needs people to come and use it. If you see anyone you think might appreciate the site, please let them know.

Any thoughts on Micheal? Not really. They messed around so much with it so I am just not putting my energy into it.

Anne Hathaway was always so drop dead gorgeous, so I watched devil wears prada but it's not my kind of movie, so maybe not. I watched the beach landing in saving private Ryan and it was very distressing. I don't want to watch that kind of thing so these are not for me.

So we got two big trailers!! Devil Wears Prada 2 and Micheal, I think both look intriguing I'd love to hear your thoughts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9HXmMnUEdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbtgEE6rkxw For Micheal as a person wanting to become an editor I love the editing of the trailer, the music also sounds great to me. (But thats just my opinion) I'd love to hear yours!

image system updated
the image system has been updated from the ground up, so data s easier to handle and so you can check in your uploaded images if it fails to attach to your post for some reason. it also allows me to do further updates to make sure an image is attached to a post, even if it fails to be inserted by bbcode. it's also a bit of a testing ground for sorting and filtering. the image gallery link is in the header now. or if you don't want to use your scroll wheel you can click - https://fanworx.org/Image/Gallery

Oh yes, it's definitely because of all the layering. I think just the color regrade dramatically increased the render time. The 4K export used to take about four days, now it takes twelve. I will keep the 4K export GPU rendered, but I might consider CPU rendering the 1080p export, since it should be a lot faster. I'm not sure if there really is a very notable difference though. I think the 4K export I did looks quite good. I consider the 1080p version to be the main version anyway, since that's the one most people will watch. 4K is niche, but some people do request it. Not all of the edit is truly in 4K either, but most of it is. The good thing about editing with 4K source material is that I can zoom in without losing sharpness in the 1080p version.

Yes! It is indeed about rendering with the GPU, which I think I'll do from now on, just simply because of how much faster it is. Do you usually export with the CPU? Thank you! It really has been SUCH ... I would never export with gpu, due to the errors it produces. Cpu rendering is required for visual quality and clarity. I understand why you ask this though, the render time you were given was insane. I presume your cpu is not terrible though, so that's down to, either Premier has issues, or it was to do with the layering of effects, etc. I did one send my render time sky high, that was when I tried to add film grain to a film that didn't need it.

oh is this rendering with the GPU? I wish I had cottoned on to that sooner because I knew about the issues with gpu encoding. my apologies for not paying attention, I could have saved you some trouble. well done for getting there anyhow! it's been rather a large headache for you hasn't it.

Update. I finally managed a complete hardware export. I managed this by pre-rendering all After Effects sequences, un-nesting nearly all sequences, and updating to Premiere Pro 2025. I can now do the full 4K export in about 5 hours, which is of course an incredible improvement over 300+ hours. Switching to hardware export does introduce problems, however. Many of the transitions between slowed down shots have become glitched and some of the effects render in a different manner. More interestingly, perhaps, I also found out that hardware export utilizes a simplified codec. Software encoders use more sophisticated analysis, allowing for better processing of details. Hardware encoders tend to be more aggressive with de-noising and smoothing to hit their speed targets. In professional production software exports are always used. Nevertheless, I think the export looks good. For all the doubts I've had, I am actually quite satisfied with my color regrade. I watched through the edit yesterday for quality control. I have to fix 35 glitches or so. I am also considering cutting out two scenes in act 1 that don't particularly add much, and perhaps just make the edit confusing and slow the pacing. It is going to take a while to make these final adjustments, but the end is in sight. It is a big relief that at least the export itself will be swift. Once it is finished I will also have to put together some sort of a trailer before I can release it, but I don't expect that to take too long. Furthermore, since I pre-rendered most of my special effects now, I intend to make them publicly available for others to use in their edits.

Man it's so nice filling the calendar. I'm curious what the heck this is? Any thoughts? Has anyone read or seen the original source material?
